The Reno (NV) Gazette Journal, a Gannett Newspaper, upgraded its Bundle Distribution System to include equipment from Samuel and Miracom. Samuel Strapping Systems supplied 2 model MK6 BottomWrappers, which include Miracom MiraJet inkjet heads for printing dynamic Bundle Identification labels. Miracom Computer Corp. upgraded their MiraDock Bundle Distribution software controls as well. The fully automated Bundle Distribution System downloads the Manifest from the Genesys circulation system, tracks bundles as they are ejected from stackers, prints an appropriate label on the Samuel bottomwrap, and delivers the bundle to the proper truck loading conveyor at the loading dock.

Miracom is proud to release the MiraLabel TMC Solution using the MiraJet Inkjet system!
The system, currently in use by several US newspapers, prints DeskJet Quality address labels, indicias, and logos at speeds as high as 20,000 copies per hour.
The MiraJet Inkjet system uses non-proprietary components to ensure success and completion even on Newspaper production schedules. Standard HP inkjet technology means that a failed head can be replaced by an inkjet cartridge from your nearest office supply store in a pinch. And Ethernet connectivity means your internal IT department can act as your first line of support.
The MiraLabel system is competitively priced, and has a proven track record. For more information, please feel free to contact us using the Contact Us form on the menu.

Companies who purchased Newscom® Inserter control products from Newstec between 1999 and 2005 are using programs authored and owned by Miracom Computer Corp. This includes all modules of the Newscom®, Newsplan, Newsstack, Newslabel, Newswrap, NewsGroup, and NewsBundle products.
Shortly after their acquisition by Quipp, Newstec stopped distributing and supporting the Miracom family of products. Although Newstec has retained the rights to the Newscom® brand name, Miracom owns the rights and source code for the software.
Miracom is now offering the Inserter control family of products using the MiraSert brand name.
If you purchased Newscom® and require support, Contact Us to purchase the latest upgrade. |
